Putting People First: PRG’s Commitment to Respect and Wellbeing
At Piling Recruitment Group, we know that our industry is built on people. From site operatives to project managers, every individual deserves to feel respected, supported, and safe while carrying out their work.
Creating a Positive Site Environment
Construction can be a demanding environment, and pressures on site are often high. That’s why it’s essential that everyone is treated fairly and that there is no place for bullying, harassment, or discrimination. We operate a zero-tolerance policy towards such behaviour and encourage anyone who experiences or witnesses it to speak up.
Safety and Wellbeing Go Hand in Hand
Respect in the workplace goes beyond how people treat each other – it also includes ensuring that health and safety are prioritised and that workers know how to raise concerns about unsafe conditions, accidents, or near misses. Alongside this, wellbeing matters too: issues around pay, treatment, or personal concerns can all affect someone’s ability to work safely and effectively.
Making Support Accessible
We don’t just set policies; we take steps to make them easy to act on. Recently we introduced Report & Support info cards, which are now being handed out at site level. These pocket-sized cards give operatives quick access to PRG contact details, a confidential reporting email, and external support lines should they need them.
For extra reassurance, the cards also include independent helplines:
-
Lighthouse Helpline – 0345 605 1956
-
Employee Care Line – 0800 193 6860
These services are available 24/7, offering support outside of PRG if someone feels they need it.
Our Ongoing Commitment
The Report & Support cards are just one example of how we’re putting people first. We’ll continue to listen to our workforce, build on our existing policies, and make sure that anyone who works with PRG knows where to turn if they need support.
At PRG, our commitment is simple: a safe, respectful, and fair workplace for everyone.
